CP Gears

CP gear is not strictly required early on in the game, although it can make your life easier if you have one or two pieces of CP reduction. Getting the lowest leveled ones isn’t hard, but is a bit time consuming. If you’re bored of training skills or whatever you happen to be working on at the time, I recommend taking some time off to create some CP gear. When picking armor pieces to enchant on to, I recommend that you pick genderless pieces (raceless is unfortunately not possible most of the time) with a decent amount of durability.

Difficult (or Trouble, translation issues galore)  Light Armor (rank A suffix), -100 CP

Go into normal Karu and on the first floor there are Pot Belly Spiders with titles that drop spider parts. Take one of those parts and enter Karu Pot-Belly Spider Dungeon (any body part will work), the end chest may drop this enchant. This is a scroll, so no burning is required, and it’s also rank A, so no bridging is required either, which makes it easy for us. This enchant goes on light armor, I recommend Cloth Mail which costs 50k at Elen, due to being genderless and human/elf compatible with high durability. If you are a giant, then you will need to find light armor that works for your race. Find someone with at least 200 int and request enchant, and your first CP gear will be complete.

Damaging Gauntlets (rank 9 suffix), -100 CP

Go into normal Karu again and on the fourth floor there are Zombies with titles that drop Zombie parts. Take one of those parts and enter Karu Stone Zombie dungeon (any part will work). The end chest may drop this enchant scroll, however it is rank 9, which requires one bridge. The easiest way is to prepare a Healer’s Counter Gauntlet which comes from rafting, you can directly enchant onto it and be done (giants can’t use this). Thief burns are quite common on this server, you can use Thief ES as a bridge, giants will have to use this method  (be mindful that Damaging goes on metal gauntlets and not gloves). Enchant Thief onto a metal gauntlet, then enchant Damaging on top of it and you are done.

Inconvenient Boots (rank 8 suffix), -100 CP Castle dungeons are open now!

On the fifth floor of Karu, there are stone imps with titles, kill them and use their body parts to enter Karu Stone Imp Dungeon. The end chest may drop this enchant scroll, however it is rank 8, which requires 2 bridges. Get a Thief enchant ready and enchant it onto metal shoes, preferably genderless (if it’s armored shoes it will probably work, double check the wiki). Then get either a Serious, Scary, or Dangerous burn which drops from mobs in Castle Dungeons. The enchant will have to be burned off, which may fail, so you may want spares. Once you get it burned off, enchant it over Thief, then enchant Inconvenient over the rank 9 enchant and you will be done with your third piece of CP gear. Due to the high number of enchants you will want to pick boots with high durability (it’s likely that fails will shave several points off).

Now that you know the gist of things, here’s a fast guide for other CP equips.

Quick and dirty CP reduction guide:

Thin Uncomfortable metal helmet (-200 CP) Use a Norman Warrior Helmet

Prefix:

rA use Blessed or Color ES. There’s others like Hamster, use whatever is easiest to get.

r9 use Norman ES from Iria fishing boat. This is a much easier r9 bridge than the others, hence the recommendation of a Norman Warrior Helmet.

R8 use Thin ES and you are done. It comes from Lingering Darkness on at least Int difficulty.

Suffix:

rA use Thief ES. There’s a bunch of other rA suffixes that’ll work but Thief is the easiest.

r9 use Serious/Scary/Dangerous ES. Those burns drop from mobs in the various Castle Dungeons, any will work. Gacha gives an irregular Burgundy Bear ES that goes into the suffix slot (normally it’s a prefix), if you manage to get one of those you should use it instead.

r8 use Uncomfortable ES and you’re done. It comes from any Karu Stone Hound Dungeon.

Cheapo method:

Get a Stiff Tail Cap from Rundal and slap Thin ES on it for an instant -100 CP hat. You can’t use Uncomfortable though since it’s not a metal helmet.

Vicious Inconvenient Boots (-200 CP) Make sure you use metal boots.

Prefix:

rA use Color or any other rA prefix.

r9 use Burgundy Bear ES (from hunting Burgundy Bears and drops from many other SMs) or Pain ES (the burn drops from Sliab Cuilin Castle Dungeon end chest).

r8 use Vicious ES and you’re done. It comes from Their Method on at least Int difficulty.

Suffix:

Inconvenient is already listed on the above section of the guide. Use Thief, then one of the castle dungeon burns or a gacha Burgundy Bear ES, then use Inconvenient and you’re set.

Small Damaging Gauntlets (-200 CP) Make sure you use metal gauntlets.

Prefix:

rA use Color or any other rA prefix.

r9 use Burgundy Bear or Pain ES, same as above.

r8 use Small ES and you’re done, which comes from Enemy Behind on at least Int difficulty.

Suffix:

Damaging is already listed above. Simply use Thief → Damaging and you’re good to go.
