(will be a WIP for a long time, suggestions welcome)
This isn’t going to be a comprehensive enchant guide, I’m only listing common, useful enchants.
Max Damage:
Slap Fox or Fox Hunter on everything you own (Prefix B and E respectively, generic). Both can add up to 4 max damage, but Fox can also add 1-2 min damage as well.
Diamond (Prefix B, metal weapons and armor) A more powerful alternative to Fox, this adds 6 max damage provided your exploration level is 15+. This also subtracts 5 will and 5 critical when you’re under level 25, so you have to gain some levels to avoid killing your critical rate.
Wolf Hunter’s (prefix C, weapons) adds 4-6 max damage when level is 10+. Not much to say here.
Energetic (suffix A, weapons) Is a max damage suffix recommended for players who play with a low aged character. It adds 3 max damage when age 12+ and a whopping 50 stamina when age 16-, but -15 str when age 17+. Losing 15 str is the equivalent of losing 6 max damage. If you play a young character, dual wielding a pair of Energetic weapons will add a ton of stamina and a nice boost to damage.
Raven/Crow (they’re the same thing, translation issues galore) (suffix 9, weapons) Adds 5-8 max and 2-4 min damage if Smash r9+, but subtracts 3 defense when Combat Mastery A+. Typical max damage enchant for weapons.
Water damage:
Moist (Prefix 6, Enchant enabled rank regardless, cylinders) I don’t usually mention high ranked enchants but spamming Shadow Cast City on Int or above will occasionally drop a Moist Water Cylinder. Having rank 5+ Water Cannon will add 9 water damage, and getting rank 1 Water Cannon will add 18 more water damage for 27 total. However there’s a 10x repair fee attached to this enchant. Note that if you ever want to burn off Moist and use it on something else, this enchant won’t require bridging.
Water Drop (Suffix A, generic) This burn also drops from SCC on Int or above, I recommend getting a Moist Water Cylinder first and enchanting Water Drop onto it. Adds 5 water damage and +100% repair fee. You can enchant everything you own with this, except for Royal Alchemist gear since those already come with good enchants.
Str:
Giant (Suffix B,generic): Adds 5 HP and Str when Combat Mastery is B+. Also subtracts 15 Int, mages obviously shouldn’t be using this on their mage set. Giant isn’t as easy to find as Fox, so getting Fox enchants on everything first is ideal. Having a full Fox Giant set is a good set to start off with for warriors.
Crit boosting:
Stiff (Suffix 9, weapons): Spamming Rundal Normal will get you a Stiff Tail Cap which adds 10 crit on the headgear slot. Stiff is compatible with any weapon, whether you need the added critical is up to you. I recommend Water Cannon users to put Stiff on your water cylinder for a decent boost. Note that having r9+ Lightningbolt will subtract Dex, which can be a turnoff for archers.
Luck boosting:
Thief (Suffix A, generic): +10 luck when level 30+ but -15 HP when level 25+. I recommend making a full Thief set along with Thief enchanted gathering tools for gathering with. It’s also possible to fight with a full Thief set on, you’ll never have crit problems but your HP will probably be pretty terrible if you do. Enchanting all eight slots will give you 80 luck and -120 HP.
What armor to use?
If you don’t plan on upgrading whatever you’re wearing in the body slot, then it honestly doesn’t matter if you’re wearing clothes or armor. There’s no armor masteries to train in this version of Mabi, you’ll likely be very squishy for a long time. If you intend to stack protection, then you’ll want to upgrade heavy armor for it, and wear gauntlets/helmets/armored boots that have 1 protection each. G13 starts you off with a Waterdrop Cap which counts as a helmet. Ferghus sells Tioz Armor in this version of Mabi for 49k, and you can purchase the rest of the set as well. Note that protection will probably not help you very much in the early game. Also, if you plan to wear a full elemental set, then you must wear clothing so you can also wear 2 accessories.
